By October 2005, all AMSOIL SDF filters will be made by Donaldson using the endurance technology meaning the filters used on our by-pass units will also hold this extended oil filter change interval!

We have many Dodge Cummins customers who have simply gone to a 15,000 mile interval of changing both filters on the bypass unit and no analysis. No, they are not draining the oil - Just changing the filters. (If you want to extend longer then we suggest the Oil Analysis kits)

Our best recommendation if not using analysis with the BMK-15 Bypass Kit suggests changing the full flow and bypass filter at 10,000 miles for the first service, then 15,000 miles each time after that. You should never have to actually drain the engine oil using this procedure.

The below is using AMSOIL w/o the bypass system:

I suggest taking a oil sample before you convert to AMSOIL just to see the current condition of the oil and wear patterns especially if you bought your truck used.

Then once you have installed the AMSOIL AME 15W40 and Donaldson ELF7349 Endurance Series filter, run up to 25,000 miles or one year.

Prior to this we recommended the AMSOIL SDF filter changing it at 7,000 or 6-months, then topping off. Using analysis you could still reach 22K to 25K miles on the oil but you had to change out your filters. Thanks to the new proprietary filter technology of the Donaldson Endurance Series and millions of miles on these trucks using AMSOIL AME, the filters and oil share the same interval. This is only currently available for the DODGE 5.9 and larger Class 6, 7, and 8 engines. For all others we will be upgrading the SDF filters under the AMSOIL name to the Donaldson Endurance Series in October. This will also extend life and convenience to our gasoline engine oil and filter interval.

The most common comment I get from my diesel customers (most use the lower price 15W40) is, "I expected a little increase in mileage but nothing like this! I can't believe it!"

With the 15W40 you simply cannot get a better value in motor oil. Since 1976 this has been improved constantly to exceed all future engine, EPA and API requirements. Try it out and you will never switch back. If you are in extreme low temperature areas, we also suggest the AMS-Oiler for easier winter starting.

Change your Mind - NOT Your Oil!

Switch to AMSOIL 15W40 save time, fuel and cut your oil consumption significantly.

This means your use of AMSOIL AME 15W40 in the Dodge Cummins can be used up to 25,000 miles or one year. Knowing that Cummins designs these intervals to be conservative (using conventional SAE 40 motor oils), the use of an oil analysis will prove that the AMSOIL HDD (or AME) is still within the proper specs regarding to viscosity, alkalinity, wear metals, soot, NOX% (nitration and oxidation), water, fuel, etc.. The ANALYSIS company makes the recommendation but you see the results yourself. Why in the world would you change the oil if it's still good? Why spend more money on a oil product that basically turns to acid prematurely and does not hold its viscosity? Today's EGR turbodiesels operate at higher temperatures and RPM thus the increase in oil sequence testing demands and new proposed specifications. AMSOIL AME is designed for current and future EPA specifications.

And why would you use another oil when AMSOIL users experience instant fuel economy increases of 5% to 15%?? (6% to 15% when AMSOIL is used through out the power train and intake filters.)

Under heavy loads or if your engine has higher than normal wear, just start your AMSOIL use by testing the oil with our ANALYSIS Kits. Test your old oil just before draining, then test the AMSOIL at your normal drain interval.

"I'm so tired of $60+ oil changes every 3 weeks and having to wait and watch over some one else change my oil! What is bulk oil anyway?" AMSOIL 15W40 is the solution to this problem!

For your first order for your Cummins Turbodiesel ask for two Donaldson Nanotechnology filters, one 4-gallon or 5-gallon case of (AME) 15W40, two test kits (G-1451) and two cans of our (AEF-CN) engine flush when converting to synthetic for the first time. For other engines there are several different filters so just provide the year and engine on your order request or catalog request.

If using the engine flush, simply add the cans to the old, existing oil, idle for 15 minutes and drain before switching to AMSOIL and Donaldson Filters.

Once you have changed your oil, watch your mileage. Most customers are pleased with the added mileage. Try our Heavy Duty Diesel (HDD) 5W30 for even more efficiency in the Dodge.

Use our By-Pass filtration kits and extend changes even further while virtually eliminating all engine wear thanks to the AMSOIL BE-Series filters.

These filter to less than 1-Micron.

Basically these kits filter 5 quarts in 5 minutes at 45 miles per hour and do not interfere with the flow demands of the engine.

The BMK-15 uses the AMSOIL SDF-26 full flow and the BE-100 large capacity filter. The AMSOIL SDF filter is rated for 7,000 miles and the BE-100 is 25,000 or one year.

You simply change the full flow every 7,000 miles or 6-months. You will need to change the BE-100 at one year or 25,000 miles.

Soon we will be debuting the Absolute Efficiency filter line (October, 05 or earlier) which will offer even longer full flow intervals.

To know when your oil needs draining you will need to order the G1451 Oil Analysis Kit. Sample every 15,000 to 30,000 miles or yearly to monitor oil quality, TBN and wear. These kits are very reasonable in cost and are simple to use.

When using AMSOIL HDD or AME Diesel, your engine will run smother, quieter and many even notice a decrease in engine drag. Our gear and differential lubes will add to the economy. Dave Mann - Dealer in Detroit Michigan has Interstate Batteries of Detroit, Inc. using them and the entire state of North Carolina has done studies proving the relevancy and value of these units in their busses. I get dozens of customers weekly who can't imagine going so long w/o draining oil but since the bypass kits became available in 1982 you should expect to be saying, "My average truck life has increased by several years!"

If you want to avoid problems with soot and deposits, the By-Pass is your solution. Generally costs between $150 to $240 each depending on which engine you have and if you use the single, dual remote or Dual Guard. With the By-Pass system you can also cut the frequency of analysis. Do one each time you change a Bypass filter (every 25,000 miles or once each year).

In Turbodiesel applications our Donaldson Full-Flow Filters are recommended for 25,000 without analysis. Change other manufactures' filters at the engine manufacturer's recommended filter change intervals.

In Heavy Duty Diesel trucks it in not unusual for the engine manufacturer to recommend 25,000 and 50,000 without By-Pass filtration. Mack has designed an engine for 40,000 miles per change recently. The other day I was reviewing the April Action News and the new G-100 product catalog included in it. The products featured in this issue were our two new motorcycle oils. Anyone reading about these outstanding new oils couldnít help be impressed by how they totally blew the competition away in head-to-head performance tests.

Once again, AMSOIL outperforms the competition and puts test results that prove it right there for everyone to see. Itís also interesting that the very bike manufacturer that said not to use synthetic motor oils in their engines now sells and recommends a synthetic motor oil with their label on it.

They donít make it, but they profit from it so now itís OK to use. Thatís very similar to how the other oil companies and automakers badmouthed synthetic motor oils until they began marketing their own synthetic oils.

Are their oils as good as AMSOIL? Not when you look at the tests! AMSOIL has a long history of making lubricants that are the very best. And the way we have shown they are the best is by testing them against the competition and publishing the results in our sales literature or right on the product labels.

I donít know of any other oil company that does this like we do. But then, I donít know of any other oil company that makes products as good as we do, so they donít really have as much to toot their horn about as we do.
